Research note · Glyphic Journal

PRIVATE FIRST, PUBLIC ON PURPOSE.

The boundary between a personal notebook and a shared knowledge space should be visible, understandable, and deliberate.

Thinking needs room

A DRAFT IS NOT A PERFORMANCE.

People need space to be incomplete, speculative, and wrong without assuming that every keystroke is destined for an audience. Private-first design protects that room.

Sharing is a product state

MAKE THE AUDIENCE LEGIBLE BEFORE THE ACTION.

A public contribution should show where it will appear and what context accompanies it. Clear states are more trustworthy than vague assurances.

Still being built

THE IMPLEMENTATION MUST EARN THE PRINCIPLE.

A principle is only useful if storage, synchronization, defaults, and deletion paths support it. Glyphic will document those details as connected features ship.
