The basic rule
Disagree with ideas, not people's right to participate
Glyphic is built for thoughtful disagreement. Profanity, criticism, and unpopular opinions are not automatically violations. Direct threats, targeted harassment, slurs used to attack people, sexual exploitation, doxxing, fraud, and spam are not allowed.
Context matters
Quoting harmful language is not the same as endorsing it
Review considers the full statement and its purpose. Reporting a threat, criticizing abusive language, quoting a source for study, or telling someone not to harm themselves should not be treated as the harmful act being discussed. Automated systems can make mistakes, which is why eligible decisions can be appealed.
What is not allowed
Content and behavior Glyphic may act on
- Credible threats, encouragement of self-harm, or instructions to harm someone.
- Targeted harassment, repeated intimidation, or coordinated abuse.
- Slurs or dehumanizing attacks aimed at a person or protected group.
- Non-consensual sexual content or any sexual exploitation of minors.
- Publishing private identifying information without permission.
- Spam, impersonation, scams, malicious links, or manipulation of platform systems.
- Copyright infringement or other unlawful content handled through the appropriate legal process.
Reports
What happens when you report something
Reports are private. The person reported does not receive your name or report text. You receive a body-free status receipt in Privacy & safety, and a reviewer can close the report, remove content, apply an account restriction, or refer the case for additional review. A report does not automatically remove content.

Eligible decisions can be reviewed again
If Glyphic removes your content or applies an appealable account restriction, the decision appears in Privacy & safety. You can add context for another reviewer, follow its status, and withdraw a pending appeal. Accepted appeals restore the existing content or reverse the restriction when restoration is technically possible.

Local rules do not replace this policy
Space owners can set participation rules and moderators can review reports scoped to that Space. Space moderators cannot perform platform-wide removals or see reports from other Spaces. Platform policy still applies everywhere on Glyphic.
Legal requests
Use the private legal intake for rights-holder requests
Copyright notices, privacy requests, preservation requests, and formal legal inquiries have a separate private process. Submitting a legal request does not automatically change public content.
